Jamin Pelkey

Jamin Pelkey is Professor of linguistics and semiotics at Toronto Metropolitan University and Visiting Professor in the Faculty of Humanities at Charles University Prague. His research draws on insights across disciplines to interpret evidence from symbolic systems around the world showing how the evolution of human bodily experience gives rise to both extreme ideologies and the creative imagination. His books include The Semiotics of X and the four-volume major reference work Bloomsbury Semiotics.
