Dr. Jessica Hamel-Akré is a freelance consultant, author, and historian. Based in France, and previously a research director at Lovebrands Paris, she conducts mixed-methods semiotics, cultural strategy, and qualitative projects for some of the world's biggest brands. A former academic having previously worked at the University of Cambridge, she is also a historian of ideas and often takes inspiration from her academic methods to design bespoke approaches to client business challenges. Author of "The Art of Not Eating: The Secret History of Diet Culture," her expertise includes decades long work on the topics of health, wellness, and gender.
