Marta Pellegrini studied semiotics in Bologna, after graduating from Politecnico di Torino in graphic design (with a thesis on AI systems). As a freelancer she has collaborated with fellow semioticians, and has consulted to institutes and agencies such as Pomilio Blumm, Doxa, Ipsos, Kantar, Sign Salad, Space Doctors, CBA (WPP), KBKnowledge, and Dscovr.
